I have one day of work left in July!
Everything is in place for my trip and now I must wait for the next 5 days to pass. I've endured scares after my brother's city (London, you may have heard of it) was attacked by terrorists, uncooperative tax returns (thought I was getting about $400... I got $26) and several covert attempts by my mother to get me to travel somewhere "nice" like New Zealand.
There is one thing at this stage that worries me more than anything else about travelling. I really, really want the window seat! As I've mentioned before, I haven't been on a plane in 19 years. I'd like to see what it looks like out there. In a Boeing 777, there are 2 window seats in a row of 9, that's a 1 in 4.5 chance of getting a seat. There are also the two aisle seats next to the window seat, so that's a 1 in 2.25 chance of a seat near the window, which still leaves a 1 in 1.8 chance I'll be sitting in the middle aisle of 5 and watching movies the whole time.
But, the two aisle seats of the 5 wouldn't be too bad a view, and so there's a 2 in 3 chance that I'll get a seat I'm reasonably happy with.
These odds aren't too bad, when compared to, say, the odds of the plane running on time!
Now that you're pretty much all asleep from my crazy maths talk (aww, sleepy readers
, I tell those dedicated few about my day. I was 8 minutes late for work because the bus was 3 minutes early. That's some maths I just can't figure out! Nah, my day was utterly boring. Maybe I'll have more to say tomorrow.
OOH! Sign my map! Sign my map! Sign my map!
Later,
Josh! xoxo
